How does the recreation engine actually work?+
You give it a URL, an image, or a PDF. For a URL we render the page and read its brand design tokens; for an image or PDF we run a vision model. Both passes extract the fields — labels, types, options, required flags, sections — and the visual design. We then assemble an editable SimilarForm and drop you into the builder, usually in under 30 seconds.
What if it gets a field wrong?+
It never blocks you — even a partial recreation opens as a working draft. Every recreation comes with a confidence-flagged diff ("we recreated 11 of 12 fields; review the highlighted one"). Low-confidence fields are flagged for a quick look, not silently dropped.
Is the free tier actually free?+
Yes. 3 forms, 100 submissions a month, 3 recreations a month, and the AI co-pilot — no credit card, no submission cliff that quietly hides your responses. Paid plans start at $15/mo and remove SimilarForm branding.
Which six industries do you support?+

Can forms take payments and signatures?+
Yes. Stripe Checkout embeds inside any form, e-signatures can be typed or drawn, and file uploads go straight to secure storage. They're real field types in the 18-type set, not bolt-on add-ons.
Is SimilarForm HIPAA compliant?+
The Business plan ($59/mo) includes a signed BAA, per-tenant encryption, field-level PHI encryption, an audit log, and no-PHI-in-email notifications. Healthcare teams below that tier still get the templates and co-pilot — just without the BAA.
What is SimilarForm built on?+
